I collected as much information as I could but
probably just scratched the surface of this ENORMOUSLY BIG Saba story.
DISCLAIMER: I am not suggesting to buy the complete radios just to pull
the drivers from them!
If the radio is in working order - doing so would be a real crime.
It is sort of an equivalent of killing an elephant to get his ebony
teeth (using them to make ashtrays )
Or killing a white rhinoceros to use his horn for aphrodisiac.
If you find a dead
broken radio, or if you are willing to replace the drivers with some
generic car drivers and use SABA GREENCONES for DIY - thats fine.
SABA radios, when working, have absolutely no equal in pleaseure of
operation and sound quality.
For 90 % people out there - a Freiburg in full flight would be the best
sound quality they ever heard period.
In my opinion - Saba Voll Automatic Freiburg is one of the finest
pieces of engineering in the history of technology.
